Really enjoyed this class and was very happy with my finished drawing. We were encouraged to draw a subject I wouldn?t have attempted otherwise and learnt some good techniques. Friendly and helpful instructor.

I found the session really interesting. I have studied life drawing/figure drawing in the past but haven't used the "bean" approach, which was new to me. It was good to learn a fresh strategy.

While it was probably disappointing for Alice, having a class with just two students was kind of nice like a private lesson. Alice was very encouraging and gave useful tips, focusing on core basics. Her choice of artworks was good and I liked how she explained her reasons for choosing particular works (and not choosing certain others in the gallery).

A low key and unintimidating art class which made learning the basics of shading very easy that even I, someone who hadn't sketched in years, could understand and get a lot out of.

Very enjoyable. Loved the idea of sitting in front of the paintings and using that as the way of understanding shade and tone. Looking forward to trying another class sometime soon.

The owner told me that she wanted something fun, relaxing, and beautiful to adorn her shed. She pointed out the she especially hated the electric meter. About 1/2 way across painting on the shed, she came out with ice tea and asked if I could also include the Blue Ridge Mountains. So, I made the building end (made a corner) and then added some blue ridge mountains off in the background. Finished product has feelings of Greece with Blue Ridge mountains, making it a true fantasy piece!

I painted this recently from a photo I took during a Friends Weekend several years ago. We stopped our bicycles on the bridge and snapped a few photos. The icy cold water was a brilliant blue from the mineral content. The Pine River flows into Vallecito Lake near Bayfield and Durango.
